An introduction to Dedalus
Orateur : Daniel Lecoannet
UC-Berkeley, USA
Abstract : Dedalus is an open-source, python-based framework for solving nearly arbitrary partial differential equations (PDEs) using spectral methods. In two interactive lectures, I will describe and demonstrate the capabilities and limitations of Dedalus and spectral methods more generally. The participants will learn how to use Dedalus to solve PDEs important in their research. No prior knowledge of python or scientific computing is necessary.
